VIDEO : Tony Shalhoub to Star in New CBS show 'Brain Dead'

Emmy-winning actor Tony Shalhoub played an obsessive-compultive detective in "Monk" and now will star as a senator on the new CBS show "Brain Dead." The series follows a young woman who learns that bugs are eating the brains of members of Congress and their staff. Shalhoub explains his character in the show as a republican, career politician and how after the infection of bugs, his character cleans up his as and becomes a more savvy politician. He also speaks on drawing from the current election in being able to play his Republican character and how the show itself plays off current events as well.
