Ex-Machina Writer/Director Alex Garland recently discussed the prospects of a sequel to the film "Dredd," which Garland adapted from a popular British comic book. Directed by Pete Travis in 2012 and starring Karl Urban as the futuristic judge - who serves as jury and executioner as well - the film went on to become a cult hit despite meager box office, recouping only $35 million worldwide of its $50 million production budget.Addressing the legions of fans who mention the possibility of a sequel, Garland said: "It means something that these people support the film in that way, but the thing people want, which is a sequel, I don?t think is going to happen."
