Mads Mikkelsen will play the father of Jyn Erso, who is played by Felicity Jones, in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. According to EW, Jyn?s father is ?a scientist whose knowledge is sought by both sides.? It's possible that his knowledge may be linked to the creation of the Death Star. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is set between the events of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and shortly before the events of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. The film revolves around the plot of resistance fighters embarking on a daring mission to steal the Empire's plans for the Death Star.
