The surprising friendship Big Boo and Pennsatucky developed on Orange Is the New Black has been one of the series' high points. It shows just how much characters, like people, can evolve with the help of others and through the passage of time.
And according to actors Lea DeLaria and Taryn Manning, It's been just as much fun for them as it has the viewers.
DeLaria, who plays Big Boo, told reporters, "The best part is I'm hanging out with my buddy that I would hang out with off-set anyway. We just continue to do what we would do at the bar down the street after we're done."
Taryn Manning said she's learned a lot from being on the show. "I've learned to love New York because I'm from LA," Manning said. "I've learned a lot about just the prison system in real life and just how corrupt, truly, it is and how it's no fun to be there."
Orange Is the New Black season four is now streaming. Netflix has already renewed the show for three additional seasons.
