Filmmaker J.J. Abrams is adapting a new book about  Michael Jackson for TV. Abrams is working with the books co-author, TV and radio host Tavis Smiley.
Smiley's company said Monday, Warner Bros. Television is on board with the project.
The book is written by Smiley and David Ritz, called "Before You Judge Me: The Triumph and Tragedy of  Michael Jackson's Last Days," and will be published Tuesday by Little, Brown and Co. It's described as a novelistic take on the pop star's final months.
