News, the actor will receive the Humanitarian Award at the 2016 BET Awards . Throughout the past year and beyond, Jesse has used his platform to support the Black Lives Matter movement and has stood with thousands of protesters so that Mike Brown's death would not be in vain.
He has written articles for CNN and The Huffington Post expressing his frustration with the system and has even had the opportunity to meet President Barack Obama earlier this year.
