Leonardo Dicaprio tried to excuse himself from having to become involved in a defamation suit against the makers of the film, "Wolf Of Wall Street" but he was unsuccessful. A judge ordered that Leonardo Dicaprio can be deposed in the lawsuit that was initiated by a former investor named Andrew Greene. Greene is suing paramount because he believes he is being portrayed as Nicky Koskoff a drug addict and misogynist. Paramount has counted by saying the character is not based off of Andrew Greene but instead a composite of several characters. DiCaprio's attorneys unsuccessfully argued that there is no reason for DiCaprio to be deposed since he played a different character and had nothing to do with the writing of the film. It is unknown when DiCaprio will actually have to testify in the case.
