VIDEO : Nick Jonas & Demi Lovato Talk Awkward Teenage Songwriting

Former Disney peers Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato reminisced about their adolescence on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Lovato dished on one early, awkward songwriting inspiration: Jonas' brother and former bandmate Joe, saying "I was writing my first album, and I was writing a song called 'Gonna Get Caught, [Joe] was in the room. We were all writing together. And he was like, 'Well, maybe it has a happy ending, ya know?' And I was like, 'No! I think he gets caught and everyone sees that he's a heartbreaker.' Nick was like, 'Why don't we just write the chorus?'"
Nick Jonas also performed a falsetto-heavy version of his suave new single, "Close," from his solo LP, 'Last Year Was Complicated'.
