VIDEO : How Steven Spielberg Convinced J.J. Abrams To Direct Star Wars

The Hollywood Reporter's upcoming issue will reveal how J.J. Abrams was convinced to direct Episode 7 of Star Wars through an interview with Steven Spielberg and Kathleen Kennedy. Kennedy is the president of Lucasfilms. Apparently, when Spielberg called Abrams to ask if he would do it, Abrams said that he would but his wife would not let him restart any franchises.
