Muhammad Ali was laid to rest in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky after a day-long send off. A funeral procession drove Ali's casket throughout the town, past childhood landmarks. Admirers of the boxing great lined the streets to bid their farewells. A memorial service followed the burial, where friends eulogized Ali, making note of his accomplishments both in and out of the ring. "He was a tremendous bolt of lightning, created by Mother Nature out of thin air, a fantastic combination of power and beauty," comedian Billy Crystal said.
