Netflix Britt Robertson is returning to the small screen. The Life Unexpected and Tomorrowland star has booked the leading role in Netflix's comedy series Girlboss, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. The series is inspired by the New York Times best-selling book #Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso, founder of fashion brand Nasty Gal. Pitch Perfect's Kay Cannon created the series, exec produces and serves as showrunner. She developed a loyal following of young women via social media. The New York Times called her a "Cinderella of tech" a few years ago.
