Former heavyweight world champion Muhammad Ali remained in hospital on Friday, for treatment of a respiratory problem.
The boxer?s family had gathered at the hospital saying they were ?prepared for the worst?. On Thursday Ali?s spokesman, Bob Gunnell, said Ali was in ?fair condition? while under the care of doctors in the Phoenix, Arizona area.
Ali, who retired from boxing in 1981, has had Parkinson?s disease for three decades and has been hospitalized several times in recent years.
