Kacey Musgraves' next album project will be a departure from her previous two releases, as representatives confirmed to Rolling Stone Country that she is working on a collection of holiday music. "Be expecting a very special Christmas record for all you little elves comin' out just in time to stuff your stockings! "The next one will be completely different," she told Rolling Stone, "because I don't think this one is very far off from [Same Trailer Different Park]. "I would really like to write to a concept next time. I'd really like to do a reggae record, or a surf-rock record."
