Michael Bay has responded to reports that claim he body-shamed Kate Beckinsale. Beckinsale was the female lead in his 2001 movie Pearl Harbor. The director says the two are very good friends and he did not mean any harm by tellings her she should get a trainer. Beckinsale shared that she was told to go on a diet and work out if she wanted the role. Bay says he recommended the trainer because she had just given birth and was about to star in an intense action movie.
