Marvel is always looking for the next stand-alone superhero movie it can spinoff from one of its major franchises. In a recent interview with Empire, X-Men director Bryan Singer strongly suggested that the shapeshifting character Mystique could be a source of a possible spinoff. But Jennifer Lawrence is currently portraying the character, and has indicated that she doesn't plan to continue playing the role after X-Men Apocalypse.
