The 48-year-old CNN personality guest co-hosted the ABC talk show, marking his 40th such stint and the first time he has joined Ripa, 45, as her co-host since Michael Strahan left the position last month after more than three years. Cooper joins several other popular TV personalities who have in recent weeks guest co-hosted Live!, whose title has been changed over the years amid casting shakeups, and he is widely seen as a possible contender to replace Strahan.
