VIDEO : Mary Poppins Returns gets Emily Blunt and Lin-Manuel Miranda

While a lot of Mary Poppins fans were Skeptical about Disney's announcement that they were going to create a live-action Mary Poppins Returns movie, today's casting announcement could help put their minds at ease. Actress Emily Blunt has been cast in the title role, with Hamilton creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda staring in the lead male role as a British lamplighter. The movie will be set in Depression era Great Britain. Both actors have strong theater and singing backgrounds and Emily Blunt actually looks a lot like Mary Poppins. Both of the actors are actually friends off stage and screen, and both have fun sides to their personalities as well. It seems as if this sequel may be off to a solid start.
