Academy Award-winning filmmaker Steven Spielberg spoke to Harvard University students on Thursday, giving the commencement address. In his speech, Spielberg encouraged students to take on the troubles of the world and become heroes. He stressed the importance of empathy as a means to battle racism, religious hatred, and homophobia. Spielberg dropped out of college in the 60s and received a degree from California State University in 2002.
