Turns out Mel Gibson almost played Odin in Marvels Thor. Gibson has stated before ewhen asked if he was ever asked to play a super hero "Yeah, long time ago, to play Thor?s dad. But I didn?t do it.? However Gibson could still find himself attached to the Marvel Comic universe. Its no secret Robert Downy Jr. who is known for his part as Iron man wants Gibson to direct the next film of the franchise. However it still might be possible to see Gibson on screen in a marvel movie further along the line as fellow popular ?80s stars including Kurt Russell, Michael Keaton, and Jeff Goldblum will al be joining Marvel in the near future.
