Mel Gibson Thor Actor Mel Gibson made an appearance at Cannes this year to promote his upcoming film Blood Father, but while he was there he also commented a bit on the superhero genre of films. In a sit down with The Guardian, Gibson was asked about his general opinion on the movies as a whole, and he had this to say. But, then again, I think all films are suffering from people not being able to now open them with their name. It?s a different kind of business these days."
