Fans of the Marvel Avengers universe may not realize that Joss Whedon actually pushed to have Scarlet Johansson's Black Widow appear as more than a one-off part. And even though Whedon has said that he is done with the character-heavy Avengers universe, a fan recently asked the fanboy director if he would ever want to direct a female-led Avengers movie.
