Actress Krysten Ritter recently responded to the controversy surrounding Iron Man 3 director Shane Black revealing that he had to change the movie?s main villain from a female to a male because Marvel didn?t think a female character would sell as many toys. She expressed shock at the news, saying, ?Girls can sell toys!? Ritter's Netflix superhero show 'Jessica Jones' garnered critical acclaim by putting a female character and her recovery from trauma center stage, instead of putting the women on the sideline. When asked if there were any 'Jessica Jones' toys Ritter responded, ?I don?t know if there is yet but there should be and I bet it would sell huge and I?m going to make some phone calls after this.?
