Before season 2 of Fargo even finished airing, FX had already ordered another season. In past seasons stars such as Kirsten Dunst and Billy Bob Thorton have played lead roles in the series. Now Ewan McGregor has been cast in two main roles for season 3. Nothing has been confirmed yet for the season's plot, but showrunner Noah Hawley has said that McGregor's characters will both be new to the world of Fargo and that McGregor will be playing brothers Emmit and Ray Stussy. Season 3 will start shooting later this year and will premiere in 2017 on FX.
