Actress Gabrielle Union has landed what she calls one of the most 'rewarding' roles of her career. The new film is titled 'The Birth of a Nation,' which tells the true story of Nat Turner who led a slave rebellion in Virginia in 1831. Union sat down with Ocean Drive Magazine to discuss the role saying, "Career wise, it gets no better than this." Union plays the role of Esther, a married slave who transitions from working in the field to the house and becomes an object of desire for the plantation owner. "He sees her and feels entitled to her body," Union said in the interview.
