Winning over the heart of critics and fans everywhere , Guardians went on to grab just shy of $800 million at the global box office.One particular fan is Steven Spielberg. Spielberg stated in an interview "the superhero movie that most impressed me was Guardians of the Galaxy. When it ended, I left the cinema with the feeling that I had just experienced something new, free of cynicism and without concern for being gritty when necessary.? Jamess Gunn director of Guardians tweeted his excitement stating "This is the greatest compliment I?ve ever received. I?m teary-eyed right now. No one has influenced @Guardians more."
