The Red Hot Chili Peppers canceled an appearance at a California radio station's annual concert after lead singer Anthony Kiedis was hospitalized.
Bassist Flea broke the bad news to a crowd on Saturday in Orange County, saying the Chili Peppers would be unable to perform. Flea said Kiedis was on his way to a hospital for medical reasons, but did not elaborate.
The 53-year-old Kiedis and the Peppers were scheduled to perform at KROQ's Weenie Roast concert.
