The next X-Men film will most likely be set in space according to director, Bryan Singer who sat down with Fandango for an interview recently. Singer stated, another thing that?s been introduced in the comics is a big alien, interstellar tenant within the X-Men universe that hasn?t been explored. And to me, that might be kind of fun because I?m a huge Star Wars and Star Trek fan, and exploring the X-Men universe and being able to utilize that would be exciting, visually." Singer also said that he likes the idea of having the next film set in 90's. He wants to keep each film set in a different decade so that audiences can keep track of where they are in the timeline.
