The 69th Cannes Film Festival Opened on Wednesday with Woody Allen?s ?Café Society.? It features Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart in a tale of a young man who goes to Hollywood in the 1930?s to work in film. Allen leads a group of famous filmmakers showcasing their movies to French crowds. The festival director stated, "When we will be old we will tell our children you know I was living at a time when Woody Allen's films were coming out, and I think he's one of the greatest auteurs.? While he has never been in competition, Allen is a favorite at the festival. This year marks the third time he has opened at Cannes.
