The X-men mutant Psylocke is an incredibly powerful character, and definitely seems to be playing a bit role in the upcoming X-men Apocalypse film. But the character almost didn't even make it into the script. The producers and writers of the final part of the X-men origin story series had decided that the kidnapped Professor Xavier would just replace Psylocke as the Fourth Horseman and were not going to bother adding the character into the film at all. But then they realized that Professor X didn't really have anything to do in the final third of the film, so they had to go back and write the character into the film to make sure there really were Four Horsemen for Apocalypse.
