X-Men Director Bryan Singer has been overseeing Marvel?s mutants on the big screen for the better part of 16 years. This month, Singer is set to deliver the ninth film in the franchise, X-Men: Apocalypse. One X-Men character fans have wanted to see in the Marvel X-Men universe is Wade Wilson aka Deadpool. Deadpool's success as a solo character is making a crossover with the core films seem inevitable. However, Singer explains that the tonal difference between the two film series makes it a delicate situation to consider. Deadpool is all humor and jokes and sharp insults. He is all chatter, all jokes all the time. The X-Men universe that Singer helped build has some room for humor but drama, character development, quiet brooding, and mind-bending action take precedence over belly laughs.
