Speaking candidly about his casting choices, Feig said: "I don't care what shape or size or color or anything they are. I live or die on what things are funny and whether or not people will be entertained by them." He continued, saying "(I'm merely trying to) tell a story you haven't seen before. In regards to Melissa McCarthy, Feig glowed about the actress, saying: ?(Melissa McCarthy) is just this hilarious woman who is so funny. She's hilarious.?
