There was a run of successful Universal monsters in the 1940s that added Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and now, Universal is looking to reboot that series.
?Enter Russell Crowe. The Gladiator star and Academy Award winner is apparently close to signing on in a co-starring role in The Mummy with Tom Cruise. The report is that Crowe will be playing a ?a Jekyll-like role,? that could set him up for a future Mr. Crowe/Mr. Hyde spin-off if that?s in the cards.
