LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (AP) ? Actor Danny Glover will receive a human rights award at a historic site in the Adirondacks honoring abolitionist John Brown. The first Spirit of John Brown Freedom Awards will be presented Saturday at the John Brown Farm State Historic Site near Lake Placid. Organizers said Glover is expected to attend. John Brown was hanged in 1859 for trying to start an armed slave revolt with a raid on a U.S. arsenal in Harpers Ferry, Virginia.
