It's been awhile since Billboard, the music industry's chart-creator, has given out a Millennium Award, but on Monday they announced that pop icon Britney Spears will be the next recipient of the rare award. So far, Billboard has only given the honor to Beyonce in 2011 and Whitney Houston in 2012. But the May 22 Billboard Awards will hand out the third-ever Millennium award for "outstanding career achievements and influence in the music industry.
