Brian Singer responded to some pretty pointed criticism against the character Apocalypse from his new X-Men movie in an interview with IGN recently and the guy makes a lot of sense. When asked why Apocalypse's voice isnt deep and booming and sounds too much like the actor Oscar Isaac, Singer responded by saying he had to cut together a trailer using Isaac's voice in a rush but that his performance was actually recorded using a microphones set at his cheek which captured some very interesting bass sounds which Singer then resampled to come up with a much more sinister vocal performance. What about Apocolypse's pinkish purple make-up? Singer said the color in the picture he released to Entertainment Weekly had a purposely pink hue to it which can be noticed on the other characters in the shot, but Apocalypse will be appropriately gray blue in the film. X-Men Apocalypse will be in theaters on May 27th.
