Pop star Brittany Spears will accept the Millennium Award at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards. The special award recognizes an artist's exceptional career achievements and influence in the music industry. Only Beyoncé and Whitney Houston have the same merit, having won in 2011 and 2012, respectively. Spears will also perform a mix of her biggest hits during the May 22 awards. Spears has won six Billboard Music Awards in the past including New Artist of the Year and Albums artist of the year.
