VIDEO : The Jungle Book Takes Best Box Office Prize, 'Mother's Day' Bombs

Celebrity in this news:

"The Jungle Book" took the top spot in box office earnings this weekend with over 42 million in sales and will probably pass the $300 million in domestic ticket sales. Admittedly, there wasn't much competition for the Mowgli and friends with a paltry opening for Gary Marshall's ensemble comedy which was cleverly named, "Mother's Day" just like his other holiday snoozers, "Valentine's Day" and "New Year's Eve". The film stars a whole gaggle of stars including former Pretty Woman, Julia Roberts. Keanu the comedy from Key and Peele only brought in 9.3 million but hey, it only cost a measly $15 million to make so chances are it will be paying back it's investors.
