VIDEO : Kim Kardashian Puts WSJ On Blast After Publishing Ad Challenging Armenian Genocide

Kim Kardashian has slammed editors at the Wall Street Journal for running an ad denying the Armenian genocide. Bosses at the newspaper recently published the FactCheckArmenia.com ad, which links to a website carrying a statement denying the genocide under the heading, ?False: The events of 1915 constitute a clear-cut genocide against the Armenian people.? Kim, who is of Armenian descent, visited her family?s homeland last year. She recently commemorated the 101st anniversary of the tragedy on social media. While U.S. officials do not officially recognize the tragic event as genocide, Kim insists it is absurd to feature an advertisement dismissing it. She wrote on her website on Wednesday, ?For the Wall Street Journal to publish something like this is reckless, upsetting and dangerous." She fumed, "It?s one thing when a crappy tabloid profits from a made-up scandal, but for a trusted publication like WSJ to profit from genocide ? it?s shameful and unacceptable.? Between 600,000 and 1.5 million Armenians were killed in battles with the Ottoman Empire, which is modern-day Turkey. Turkey has consistently refused to label the deaths as genocide.
