Kid Rock has axed plans to attend the Detroit Music Awards on Friday, as he continues to mourn the death of his personal assistant. The rap rocker was set to receive the Distinguished Achievement Award from city mayor Mike Duggan at the 25th anniversary of the Michigan ceremony. However, he has decided to postpone his appearance until next year so he can honor his promise to deliver the body of his 30-year-old pal Mike Sacha to his family. According to SF Gate, Sacha was killed in an ATV accident in the early hours of Monday following a barbecue party at Kid Rock?s Whites Creek estate in Nashville, Tennessee. Reports suggest he lost control of the vehicle on his way back to the property after helping to transport guests from the main house to an Uber cab waiting at the driveway. Rock found Sacha?s body hours later on Monday morning.
