VIDEO : House From 'Psycho' Lands On Met Museum Roof

Celebrity in this news:

The Metropolitan Museum?s new roof top installation, called Transitional Object or Psycho Barn, as its name suggests, is a 2/3-scale mockup of the Bates Motel, the hilltop mansion from Alfred Hitchcock?s movie Psycho. Nearly 30 feet high, the shabby, blood-red structure, looming over the roof garden?s western edge, was fabricated from the pieces of a former barn in upstate, New York, in the northern Catskills. The artist, Cornelia Parker, has long specialized in installations that explore clichés and she creates eerie calm out of craziness or, on the flip side, excitement out of the ordinary.
