Believe it or not, Chris Evans turned down the role of Captain America several times. Evans was reluctant to sign a 9-picture deal and later find out in the middle of it that he wasn't happy. Now that his Marvel contract is nearing completion, is he open to re-upping it? In the comic books, Steve Rogers hands over the role of Captain America to some one new. While the studio has not asked him to pass the shield as yet, Evans says he trusts Marvel and will pass it on they ask. the character is bigger than you and whatever the character needs, whatever Marvel needs for that arc, I'm willing to do. So if that is me passing it off, you pass it off. But if they want to make more, I'm ready."
