Kelly Ripa returned her host her show, Live! With Kelly and Michael, after refusing to come in after thew news broke that her co-host, Michael Strahan, is leaving to join Good Morning America. On her first show back, Ripa lightheartedly said "Our long national nightmare is over." Ripa also said "I needed a couple of days to gather my thoughts, and after 26 years with this company, I've earned that." Alluding to the fact she wasn't notified on Strahan's exit before the general announcement, Ripa told the Live! audience, "I started a much greater conversation about communication and consideration and, most importantly, respect in the workplace."
