VIDEO : Michael Keaton Drops Out of New Spider-Man Film

Multiple Hollywood sources reported on Thursday that Michael Keaton's talks with Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios to play a villain in Spider-Man: Homecoming have ended. The actor, who previously starred in Tim Burton's Batman and played a parody superhero in Birdman, was reportedly only in early talks for the role which didn't go past an initial offer. Spider-Man: Homecoming is currently in pre-production for a June 2016 principal photography start and a July 7, 2017 theatrical release.
