VIDEO : J.J. Abrams Discusses Rey's Parents At Tribeca Film Festival

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Director, JJ Abrams, dropped a major bomb at a Q&A at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival. A fan asked: "Who are Rey's parents?" Abrams responded, "Um, Rey's parents are, uh, not in Episode VII." So, if they're not in The Force Awakens, that negates several fan theories of Han Solo, Leia Organa or Luke Skywalker abonding her as a child. Later, Abrams clarified his comment, and said, "What I meant was that she doesn't discover them in Episode VII. Not that they may not already be in her world." So, who are Rey's parents? We still don't know. And as fans on concours-twitter.htm">twitter were happy to point out, Abrams had to backtrack on his answers, opening the fan discussion up to more confusion.
