This year's CinemaCon has revealed a lot of wonderful news for movie goers, but the announcement that Deadpool is officially getting a sequel might be the best news yet. The confirmation was announced on Wednesday, along with news that Ryan Reynolds will return as the saucy superhero. The crew seems to be largely the same as well, since Director Tim Miller is going to lead the project again and both Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are signed on as writers. The sequel hardly comes as a surprise since Deadpool, as the first R-rated superhero, made $760 million in the box office after only costing $58 million to make.
