Stephen King's The Mist began as one of several novellas in 1980's horror anthology, Dark Forces, and then was adapted into a 2007 feature film by Frank Darabont, and now it is headed to the small screen. Spike announced that The Mist television series, produced by Dimension Television, has received an order for 10 hourlong episodes. It'll go into production this summer, make its debut in 2017, and Christian Torpe is serving as the show's executive producer.
