Actor and funny man John Cleese has launched a scathing public attack against British newspapers for what he believes was a "cover-up" of Culture Secretary John Whittingdale's relationship with a sex worker. The relationship ended in 2014 before Whittingdale was minister. He claims he did not know the woman was a prostitute. On Twitter Cleese called the incident "the biggest scandal for 50 years." He lambasted the "odd wall of silence concerning the Press and Whittingdale.
