Scott Eastwood has been cast in Fast 8, according to a tweet from the film franchise.
Vin Diesel returns to star as series lead Dominic Toretto, along with cast mates Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Michelle Rodriguez and Jason Statham. Other newcomers include Chralize Theron and Kristofer Hivju as villains. Fast 8 will be directed by F. Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton).
No details on Eastwood's character were released, but the actor took to Instagram to express his excitement over joining the franchise.
