On Thursday night, Mindy Kaling spoke at the Women in the World Summit, hosted by Tina Brown Live Media, in association with The New York Times. She spoke bluntly about what it's like to be a woman and a person of color in Hollywood, saying, "People want to see young women of color on TV who are not playing a terrorist or someone who?s working in IT." She also spoke about her fans, saying she hoped "young women look to [her] as a role model.
