It was eight years ago that Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban teamed up for a run of co-headlining shows, a combo moniker of their respective albums at the time. These are obviously cherished memories for the two, as they chose to recreate the duet on Thursday night's series finale of Idol ? and this time with even more fire then before. They duet on "The Fighter," a song Urban says was screaming for a female voice.
"Carrie?s voice immediately came to mind," he says.
